Mobile beer crate with standard parts from norelem
As part of a student project, graduates of the mechanical engineering/production technology specialisation course at the DHBW Stuttgart designed a very special vehicle: a mobile ‘beer crate’. In order to save costs, custom parts were largely dispensed with and standardised components were used instead. While searching for the necessary standardised parts, the team came across norelem. At the AMB show, the head of the norelem Academy, Martin Ahner, then pointed out the possibility of sponsorship, and eventually a variety of norelem components were used in the project.
The motor drives a shaft via a chain. This shaft transmits its force to the wheels and the hub of the belt brake with the help of keyless locking couplings. Deep groove ball bearings ensure that the shaft is guided stably and that the radial and axial forces are well absorbed. The thrust bearing blocks hold everything in the correct position.
